Ethiopia needs an all-inclusive development, not the kinds of Apartheid plans devised by the TPLF to be the master of our land and destiny. TPLF’s ruthless land brokers and merchants have become multi-millionaires by displacing and dispossessing poor farmers across Ethiopia. They have displaced millions of poor urban dwellers and peasant farmers to make way for the plantations and villas that they and their foreign cohorts are building across Ethiopia. They have done it almost everywhere including Mekele, where the displaced poor has designated their high end neighborhood “Apartheid village.”
The just cause of our Oromo compatriots need to be supported wholeheartedly. We should not succumb to TPLF’s fear mongering. Ethiopians need to stand up together and demand justice for the victims of TPLF’s scorched earth policy.
Ethiopia must be a country for all, not for a handful of exploitative tyrants. We need to demand justice for those killed in cold blood and the release of our brothers and sisters being tortured in the dungeons of injustice. We need to demand our dignity and freedom.
This entrenched tyranny cannot be defeated by one group of people in one or two regions. It can only be defeated when all Ethiopians across Ethiopia start speaking in one voice, rise up and fall together. The sacrifice of the little kids and their blood spilt in every village and hamlet should not be in vain. It should be the seed of freedom and justice.
At this moment in our history, we should say no to division and bickering. All victims of tyranny, past or present, must unite to claim their common destiny. TPLF must be the last tyranny in Ethiopian history.
We need the first government in our history that we can all proudly call ours. We need a servant government. No more tyranny, discrimination, inequality, exploitation, degradation and humiliation.
We need the first government in our history that we can all proudly call ours. We need a servant government. No more tyranny, discrimination, inequality, exploitation, degradation and humiliation.
Let us seize the moment! It is now or never!
“The Power of the People Is Greater Than the People in Power.” Wael Ghonim
United we stand, divided we fall!
